(2008; Watercolour, pencil crayons)

The image is actually a little bigger, but idiot me I didn't paint the corner items far enough, so you get the chopped version, heh.

What do you think? I'm open to interpretatins re: story, kind of like it when people comment on what they think the story is for my pictures.

Well I'm afraid I'm too tired to come up with a story at the moment but you've done a wonderful job! If I think of something later I'll let you know though. :D

i enjoy the colourful tapestry
and like youve said its begging for a story
maybe a prince had been turned into a deer and hes now drinking the antidote
He is a deer-knight at the order of Cernunos, and she is a virgin maiden devoted to the God (there they screwed up the interpretations of the God's wishes, since he could care less about virginity). The maiden served the knight loyally, and with time he started to want her. He is actually planning to get her to fall in love with him and run away together.

I love fairy tales! Let's see....He was a knight who was going to rescue the princess from the enchanted forest, and on the way he ran into a fox who told him how to reach the castle where the princess was (walk across the stream on the log bridge, not the golden one) but the knight was too proud and the very instant he walked across the middle of the golden bridge, he was turned into a stag! He reached the castle anyways, and now there are a series of tasks he has to complete to regain his human form and rescue the princess. First he had to fight and subsequently win the alliance of the king of the griffins, whose people were gaurding the Feather oof Truth which the knight needs for the human-turning-into-spell. Right now he's resting and waiting with the princess to find out what the next task is (it's a riddle).

What a cool pic! I found it through a friend's journal.

Because she is wearing the head-dress that hints at antlers, it makes me think of a land where most of the ruling class are animals, and people only WISH they could be animals too. She either wishes she was a deer as well, or she's forced into servitude and given a symbolic headdress. Of course, there are so many stories one could get out of this pic.

Beautiful watercolor work.

Alright, let's see...
In a world, where humans and animals are at war, there is a forbidden love forming in this castle.
The girl is a prisoner of war, forced to do their every whim, but one stag took interest in her. Every night, he would request his golden goblet from only her, and every night she obliged. On this very night, instead of taking the goblet, he took her hand gently.
She looked into his eyes, and together they ran off into the moonlight.
After a long battle, the humans and animals were able to live in piece because of one love.

Or something like that. I'm a sucker for romance.

:aww:

My first thought, on seeing the thumbnail and title, was that this was the Actaeon story [link] with a happier ending.
Absolutely stunning. Bravo!
